Online network marketing lead generation seems to have become the latest trend and “silver bullet” of recruiting. As I talk to more and more distributors and consultants from numerous different companies, fewer seem to want to build their business by talking to people they know or by using the traditional offline methods. While I fully understand and have made it my mission to aid the masses in their online attraction marketing efforts, the internet marketing “newbie” must be aware of a few major points as they venture online to build their MLM business.
- There is a learning curve for online marketing. I don’t care if you are recruiting for your MLM, selling dog clothes, or marketing any one of the hundreds of affiliate products out there. You will need to invest a high degree of time, effort, and money to learn how to effectively market online. Even building the perfect website and the perfect lead capture system will not guarantee you of adding even one person to your list. Generating traffic to that site will likely take months of content creation, link building, and optimization. So if you are planning on building your network marketing business completely online, don’t be surprised if it takes a few months for you to sponsor your first person.
- You can’t skip any steps. Online marketing, believe it or not, is a fairly exact science. My free 8-day bootcamp will teach you all the basics and get you started. The problems, however, will begin to arise if you try to skip steps or shortcut the process. One of two things will happen if you do this. You will either mess up your system and create something that just doesn’t work, or you will fail to make Google happy (or both). Let’s face it, if you can’t make Google happy, no one will ever find your site.
- You need to have a budget for online marketing. Although it isn’t terribly expensive and many online marketing methods are free, you will still need to have the budget for a couple hundred dollars a month for software, hosting, autoresponder subscription, and a few other key things that you simply can not succeed without. You’ll need to either know how to create landing pages or subscribe to a service that builds them for you. My bootcamp will take you through the steps of getting signed up for all of these necessary tools, but let me save you some time right now. Guys, the truth sometimes hurts and here’s the truth– if you can not afford to subscribe to these services and get your MLM lead generation system set up properly, then don’t bother to even get started. Building a network marketing business online or offline is a business. That means you will need to invest some money to get started. If do not want to do this or if you can not afford to do it, then you don’t need a home business, you need a job! Once you have a budget for the tools, then you can get started the right way.
Network marketing lead generation via attraction marketing is a fantastic way to create freedom in your life and build a legacy. But if you decide to go down that road, make a commitment to yourself to do it the right way and give yourself a fighting chance!
