MLM for women has always been a popular option for moms looking for a way to work from home, earn an income, and raise a family. But now, given the fact that the economy has eliminated millions of jobs while at the same time the cost of child care has risen, the choice of MLM for women may be one of the most logical paths to follow.
Let me first start by saying that I am NOT a woman and I am NOT attempting to recruit women into my MLM company. Hopefully that will allow you to give some credibility to what I am about to tell you. However, I do have significant experience in the MLM (multi-level marketing or network marketing) industry and I have a number of friends who have achieved great success within the industry. So, I present this information from a position of education rather than one of self-gain or self-promotion.
Here are a few reasons why MLM for women makes a great deal of sense:
MLM Gives Women Flexibility in Their Schedules
Obviously, if you are trying to juggle children, school schedules, and other time consuming tasks, being able to work from home or anywhere else offers you a fantastic benefit. With network marketing, you can work anywhere with nothing more than a cell phone.
MLM Doesn’t Require Experience
Even if you have never sold anything in your life, you can succeed in MLM. A hint here… if you are new to the industry, you would be wise to find a sponsor (the person who signs you up) that is actively building a business and that has some experience.
Women are Perceived as Being More Trustworthy
People are always more cautious about a male salesperson than they are with a female salesperson. That’s the reality. So, a female out there prospecting her MLM opportunity will usually make friends and contacts faster than a man. In fact, most MLM’ers are women!
The High Cost of Childcare
If you have young children, going out to find a job, even if it is part-time, will likely mean paying for childcare. Depending on how many kids you have, this could mean $40-100 per day. You’d have to find a fairly substantial part-time job to cover that and have much of anything left over. This is one of the biggest reasons why MLM for women has become more common. Cutting out the need for childcare is like giving yourself a raise.
The Potential for Residual Income
Build an MLM business the right way and it will pay you for the rest of your life. Even if you stop working. This is the big payoff and “pot of gold” at the end of the rainbow.
The network marketing industry is a legitimate and fun way to earn money from home. It must be done correctly in order for you to have success. This means persistent and consistent effort. It is NOT a get rich quick scheme or an illegal way of manufacturing money. You may also be surprised to know that you CAN build an MLM business WITHOUT hounding your family and friends. In fact, before you sign up with any MLM company, I recommend that you ask your potential sponsor about different marketing and prospecting options. A good and successful sponsor will have something to tell you other than “make a list of everyone you know”.
