Primerica is a direct sales, network marketing arm of Citigroup and has been in existence for over 30 years. Many people have developed strong and profitable businesses over the past 3 decades with the Primerica model. However, the market competition is now stronger than ever as our sour economy has everyone scrambling to make their next dollar. Many Primerica reps that have either reached a standstill or are looking to boost their growth are turning online to generate not only leads, but also as a potential source of recruiting new reps. There are a number of ways to generate these leads online ranging from pay-per-click advertising to banner ads to social media and more. Some methods are free and others may have substantial cost, but there are a few methods in particular that nearly every online marketing expert will agree MUST be incorporated into the strategy. Here are a few of them…
Lead Capture
In any Primerica business, list or lead generation is critical. It is like the blood pumping through the heart. Not enough blood and the body dies. Now, lists can be purchased or created. Purchasing a list is obviously much faster but a good list of leads is always very expensive and often these leads can be old and sold to a large number of people. In fact, recently a friend told me of a lead list she purchased and when she began calling the list, one of the leads had literally died 6 months ago. Wow, that’s money well spent! By far, in my opinion, the best way to develop a list is to actually attract people to you by offering something of value to them in exchange for their contact information. For example, some companies will offer a free credit report or a free ebook offering useful information in exchange for a customer’s email address. This is a very effective way of generating a solid list for your Primerica business. It is most often done online where people can easily opt-in to receive the free offer in a low pressure, unassuming environment, their home office.
A Drip Campaign
Very few people ever say yes to a Primerica salesperson (or any salesperson) on the initial contact. It takes days and often weeks or months before the prospect is actually ready to buy. When they are ready to move forward, you better be right there if you want that sale. But how do you manage this? Well, you could either manually contact each and every person in your database every week or you could use an autoresponder system designed to send your prospect a polite and beneficial message every few days. This puts your database management on autopilot and frees you to go out and find more leads! Not having a system like this in place means you will spend a ton of hours doing busy work that may never lead to income. Better to let the computer handle this task.
A Blog
This one intimidates many people. So if you are one of those who happens to be afraid of technology and the thought of blogging… Get over it! The bottom line here is that a properly designed blog will allow your prospects to get to know you better, opens up the communication lines, develops rapport, and gives you a platform to show your expertise. Let’s face it, if you want a sale in today’s marketplace, you better be able to show people how you are better and different than your competition. Remember, your competition comes not only from other companies, but often from other Primerica reps as well. Differentiate yourself and grab that commission!
